We recently stayed at a charming 1-bedroom cottage with a cozy indoor fireplace. The location was perfect for walkers, with plenty of beautiful places to explore nearby. The cottage had a lovely garden where we enjoyed relaxing with a glass of wine in the evenings. The kitchen was well-equipped and the shower was fantastic. We also appreciated that it was dog friendly, as we brought our furry friend along. we had a quiet and enjoyable stay with easy parking and good facilities.
There were a few minor inconveniences, such as the not-so-comfy furniture and bed. Additionally, the central heating was quite noisy and the radiators needed bleeding.

The indoor open fireplace in this cottage was an absolute delight! It added such a cozy and inviting atmosphere to the room, making it feel like I was nestled up in a charming cabin in the woods. Sitting by the fire, I couldn't help but feel like I was living out a scene from a fairytale.
No local shop nearby.

Beautiful garden view, felt like I was in Downton Abbey. Towels were available, thank goodness, because I can't travel with a linen closet.
Ohh, the airport was only 36km away, so constant jet engine noise, how charming.

Lovely little cottage with a charming garden to enjoy a glass of wine. Great for walks and exploring the Roman Fort. Dog-friendly pub nearby. Cozy living room.
Furniture and bed not the comfiest, Sky box had no signal, fireplace requires own fuel. But hey, who needs comfort and entertainment when you have a cute cottage, right?

The location was great, with plenty of beautiful walks nearby and a dog-friendly pub just a short drive away. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.
The breakfast option could have been better with a wider variety of choices.
